Jesmond Community Festival

Jesmond Community Festival

SINCE 2005 JESMOND COMMUNITY FESTIVAL HAS BEEN AN ANNUAL SHOWCASE FOR THE WIDE RANGE OF COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES TAKING PLACE IN JESMOND. THE 2024 FESTIVAL WILL START ON SATURDAY 4 MAY AND LAST UNTIL SUNDAY 2 JUNE.

All events planned for the 2024 Festival are listed in this website. If you have any queries, email info@jesmondfestival.org.uk . Please note that the website will be kept up to date if additional information becomes available.

We are very grateful to all the event organisers, and to the organisations which are helping to fund publicity for the 2024 festival, which include the North Jesmond, South Jesmond and Dene and South Gosforth Ward Committees of Newcastle City Council, West Jesmond Allotment Association, Jesmond Community Orchard, Jesmond Residents Association, the Friends of Jesmond Library, the Elders Council of Newcastle and the St George’s Church Parochial Church Council. Some of our funding has also been carried over from previous festivals, and any surplus in our funding raised in 2024 will go towards future community festivals in Jesmond.

The photographs below were taken during previous festivals, and show a heritage tour in Jesmond Old Cemetery, Bells Yard Fun Day, and a winning entry in the Glorious Gardens competition.
