Newcastle Preparatory School Year 6 Art Exhibition: 80 Years

The exhibition will be displayed in Jesmond Library, St George’s Terrace NE2 2DL, during normal library opening hours throughout the festival period.

Explore Newcastle Preparatory School’s young artists’ creative responses to archive material from North East Museums. Guided by artist, Elizabeth Kane, Year 6 wereinspired by artefacts and objects from World War 2, marking 80 years since the end of the Second World War, with Victory in Europe (VE) Day on 8 May 1945 and Victory over Japan (VJ) Day on 15 August 1945. This exhibition forms part of the school’s 10th year of collaborating with Elizabeth to support students to achieve an Arts Award certified by Trinity College London.
