DJ Scott Armstrong of Nova Radio North East will be playing a set at one of Jesmond’s more unusual venues when he visits Jesmond Pool for a Festival Chill Out Session between 8:30 and 10:00 pm on Friday 23 May. Mood lighting, a sauna, a gentle swim, and a live DJ set – what more could you want?
Have you ever seen snails race? Don’t miss the snail racing, one of the many attractions at the Jesmond Community Orchard Open Day on Saturday 17 May, between 1:00 and 4:00 pm. You can also see Morris Dancing or enjoy crafts and story telling. The orchard can be found in the north west corner of St Andrew’s Cemetery, off Tankerville Terrace.
This year’s Teddy Bear Trail has the theme “Ted goes Travelling”. The trail will be in place from 17 May, but you will be able to purchase entry forms in advance at the St George’s Church Launch Event on 3 May (from 2pm), and from Jesmond Library, also from 3 May. Entry forms will cost £1.50 per person.
