The North East Recorder Orchestra is coming to Jesmond as part of this year’s Jesmond Community Festival, in a performance at Jesmond United Reformed Church on Saturday 3 June, starting at 7pm.
The Orchestra will be presenting “Music for a Summer Evening”. Come and experience recorders in an orchestra, from small to very large. The programme will include music from ancient to modern. Be prepared to be amazed by the different sizes and beautiful sounds that recorders can make! Tickets £5, children free

There has been strong interest in Keith Jewitt’s walks around All Saints Cemetery, and, unless there are late cancellations, the walk planned for 22 May is now full up. Fortunately Keith has agreed to repeat the walk again, on Bank Holiday Monday, 29 May, at 10:15 am. If you are interested in this extra walk, email info@jesmondfestival.org.uk as soon as possible.
