Ring for the King!

Ring for the King!

The St George’s Church Bell Ringers have announced that not only will they be ringing for the King themselves, starting at 10:00am on Saturday 6 May, but between 10:30 and 11:30 am individual members of the public will also be invited to ring a bell. Places will be allocated on a “first come, first served” basis, and participants will be given a certificate to say that they have “Rung for the King”!

If demand is too great, it may not be possible for everyone to take part.

As well as the ever-popular Miniature Train Rides, operated by the Tyneside Society of Model and Experimental Engineers (11am – 3pm), Tyneside Croquet Club will be offering free opportunities to Come and Try Croquet (also 11am – 3pm) while Gosforth Go-Ride will be inviting all cycling children to try out the Skills Loop at the Boathouse (11am – 2:30pm).

The Croquet Club emphasise that potential players should wear suitable flat-soled shoes, but all equipment will be provided.
