

The winners of the 2024 Glorious Gardens Competition, part of Jesmond Community Festival, have been announced as:
Best Pocket Garden: 46 Salisbury Gardens;
Best Container Garden: 46 Honister Avenue;
Best Wildlife Garden: 63 Holly Avenue; and
Best Large Garden: 55 Reid Park Road.

A Rainy Royal Route!
Congratulations to those brave members of the Friends of Jesmond Dene, and their friends, who carried on with their walk along the “Royal Route” through Heaton Park and Jesmond Dene, despite the heavy rain!

The Redheughers performed at the Festival Ceilidh which took place at St Hilda’s Church Hall on 17 May.

Festival Train Rides
The Tyneside Society of Model and Experimental Engineers once again marked Jesmond Community Festival with a day of “Festival Special” Model Steam Train Rides. This very popular attraction is situated behind the Wylam Brewery, in Exhibition Park.
