Northumberland Orchestral Society gave a wonderful performance on the first night of this year’s festival, with brilliant soloists Kyra Humphries and Seth Collins performing Brahms as part of Jesmond Community Festival.

Despite the less than perfect weather, the Holy Trinity walkers enjoyed a walk along the beautiful Northumberland coast on 4 May. Or pop into the church between 10:00 am and 12:30 pm next Wednesday (8 May) for a drink and a look round the church.

The weather wasn’t as good as it might have been, but it didn’t rain during the excellent St George’s Spring Fete!

The 2024 Jesmond Community Festival kicks off on Saturday 4 May and one of the first events is the St George’s Spring Fete. Keep your fingers crossed for good weather, but if it does rain, there is plenty of undercover space in the church and church hall.
The Church Bells will be ringing from 11:40 am, with the event opening at 12:00 noon and lasting until 3:00 pm, with entertainment for everyone, include the Newcastle Allstars Steel Band, the Newcastle Concert Band, Irish dancers, children’s activities, toys, books, stalls of all sorts, displays, afternoon tea and Pimm’s.
The event will be opened by the Bishop of Newcastle, the Rt Revd Dr Helen-Ann Hartley.
