Here’s a date for your diary, especially if you prefer your live music at lunchtime!
The Tyneside Mandolin Orchestra will be playing in St Hilda’s Church at 1:30pm on Monday 13 May.
Always one of the first highlights of Jesmond Community Festival….
Jesmond Library has announced an extra event taking place during Jesmond Community Festival. The library will be holding a Book Sale on Saturday 18 May, between 10:30 am and 3:30 pm (or while stocks last). A mixture of ex-library books and donations.
Tom Warburton was a senior officer at Newcastle City Council during the Covid pandemic, giving him a unique opportunity to record its impact photographically. A talk in Jesmond Library on 9 May at 6:00pm draws on his book of the same name, which will be on sale at this event, with proceeds going to charity. £3 entry please, to help keep our library open.
Many apologies – the model train rides will not be operating on 5 May, as Urban Green are organising a food festival in Exhibition Park on that weekend. But do come along to the “Festival Special” train rides on Sunday 19 May.
