Dark Sky Voices joined Les Hodgson, Bonnie Brinn and Len Young for a superb and varied evening of “Music for the Pool” at Jesmond United Reformed Church on 18 May. All the money raised will be shared between Jesmond Pool and St Oswald’s Hospice.
27 people aged from 7 months to 79 years joined Chris Bostock and the Storytellers Street Band on the green outside Holy Trinity Church on 18 May, for stories, music and dancing. The weather was glorious and a good time was had by all!
All of the Brandling Village guided walks during this festival period are now fully booked. Sorry, if you have missed your chance!
Did you miss the Holy Trinity Walking Group’s Druridge Bay walk on 4 May? If so, perhaps you would like to join them for a walk over the common at Edmundbyers on Saturday 1 June? It will be about 8 miles, of moderate difficulty. When the walk is finished, the group have a room booked at the Derwent Arms, so it should be a very enjoyable day.
