St George’s Church tell us that this year’s St George’s Spring Fete on 4 May will be officially opened by the Bishop of Newcastle, The Right Revd Dr Helen-Ann Hartley. As usual the St George’s Fete will be one of the first events in Jesmond Community Festival, and its launch will be preceded by the ringing of the Church’s magnificent bells by the St George’s Church Bell Ringers. The bells will sound from 11:40 am and the fete will commence at mid-day.
