Dawn Chorus Nature Walk
Come with the Friends of Jesmond Dene to birdwatch and listen to the wonderful early chorus of diverse birds that live in the Dene. Bring binoculars if you have them; stout shoes are advisable. Yes, this walk starts at 4:30 am, and there will be no toilets available. There will be no charge, but donations to the Friends of Jesmond Dene will be welcome.

Try Croquet
As part of Jesmond Community Festival Tyneside Croquet Club invites you to try playing croquet at a free taster session with all equipment provided. Flat-soled shoes (such as trainers) are required on the lawn and surrounds. Croquet is an easy to learn, sociable game that can be played by everyone on equal terms. Children (over 6) can play on an adjacent toy set, but must be accompanied by an adult. No dogs on the lawn. The club is situated near the lake and Wylam Brewery.
