Open and welcoming Sunday for anyone to “try church”. A relaxed, informal style church service where everyone is welcome, with a live band and activities for children. Pastries and drinks are served from 10:15 am, our service begins at 10:45. Coffee and lunch from 12:00 noon. See the wonders of Jesmond Dene, past and present, and hear about the eminent people who lived and worked nearby. A ciircular walk around the gardens of Lord and Lady Armstrong – a place of Bridges, Forges and Watermills. Stout shoes are advisable. Taster Day

The Northumberland Club have announced an extra free Jesmond Festival event! On Saturday 1st June the Club will be holding a Taster Day, with Tennis from 9 am to 11 am, Squash/Racketball from 10 am to 11 am, Pickleball 11 am to 12 mid-day and Badminton 12 mid-day to 1 pm.
Come along and take your pick – or just pop in and have a look at the club’s attractive grounds and facilities.

Edmundbyers Walk

Did you miss the Holy Trinity Walking Group’s Druridge Bay walk on 4 May? If so, perhaps you would like to join them for a walk over the common at Edmundbyers on Saturday 1 June? It will be about 8 miles, of moderate difficulty. When the walk is finished, the group have a room booked at the Derwent Arms, so it should be a very enjoyable day.
