Come and mingle outside for some social distanced (but still) fun and sign up online for our in-person church escape room! Suitable for all Primary-aged children. Social distancing around family groups outside. Limited spaces. Sign up for slots 20 minutes apart, to move around the church in family groups. Adults will need to wear masks inside. Orchard Open Day

A choice of craft activities, including painting pebbles, planting seeds, making miniature gardens and creating mini-beasts. Activities will be spaced, inside and immediately outside the Orchard, to ensure COVID security, so there will be a maximum of 30 people in each activity area, at any one time. History of Jesmond Parish Church

The church will be open from 1:30 to 3:30pm and Rev Alan Munden, author of “A Light in a Dark Place, a History of Jesmond Parish Church” will be in church to talk and answer questions. All welcome! Numbers will be limited inside, according to COVID regulations, and masks will be required, but free refreshments will be served outside, especially if you have to wait! The church is situated immediately adjacent to Jesmond Metro Station.

We start with a gentle mobility section and circulation booster and move into building muscular strength and increasing bone density, as well as exercises for co-ordination and flexibility. Italian Poetry and Music

Italian poetry and music, presented by Antonella Rea. There will be an online bilingual event, in Italian and English, suitable for all, and a special audio-visual trail in the Orchard itself. John North, City Guide, will lead this walk, lasting no more than 90 minutes, which will explore the area to the east of Osborne Road, and consider its history before modern Jesmond was built. Numbers of people on each Reid Park Road walk will be strictly limited, to comply with COVID restrictions.  Please note that this walk, on the morning of May 28, is now fully booked, but a further walk, on the same route, but with a different guide, is being organised on the afternoon of the same day.
