The Tyneside Society of Model and Experimental Engineers once again marked Jesmond Community Festival with a day of “Festival Special” Model Steam Train Rides. This very popular attraction is situated behind the Wylam Brewery, in Exhibition Park.

This Wednesday, 22 May, a great opportunity to appreciate the musical and dance talents of the children at our local primary school, West Jesmond, as they perform in Jesmond Library, for Jesmond Community Festival. Open to all (unless the building gets full up!).

10:15 am: Ukelele Group
10:45 am: Djembe Group
11:15 am: Years 5 and 6 Choir

Dark Sky Voices joined Les Hodgson, Bonnie Brinn and Len Young for a superb and varied evening of “Music for the Pool” at Jesmond United Reformed Church on 18 May. All the money raised will be shared between Jesmond Pool and St Oswald’s Hospice.

27 people aged from 7 months to 79 years joined Chris Bostock and the Storytellers Street Band on the green outside Holy Trinity Church on 18 May, for stories, music and dancing. The weather was glorious and a good time was had by all!
