A fabulous performance of “The Mikado”, the Gilbert and Sullivan favourite, by Jesmond Choral Group and Friends, conducted by Jonathan Scott. The event took place in Jesmond United Reformed Church, as part of the 2026 Jesmond Community Festival.

Another happy day for Jesmond Festival on Jesmond Village Green (Rosebery Crescent) with Chris Bostock, the Storyteller, and the Little Big Blue Ceilidh Band.
This year’s Tour de Jesmond once again started by the Bandstand in Exhibition Park and then visited the University, the Cricket Club, Armstrong Bridge, the Dene, Reid Park Road, Forsyth Road and Brandling Park, and then back to the Bandstand for Ice Cream from the Jesmond Ice Cream Company.
St George’s Spring Fete was opened by the Newcastle Concert Band.
