The 2022 Jesmond Community Festival has now largely finished, with a flurry of magnificent events marking the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Which were your high spots out of this year’s festival? We’d be interested to hear any views on info@jesmondfestival.org.uk .

The overall winners of this year’s Plastic Free Jesmond and Sandyford Award were Michael Holland and Sarah Lewis for their comprehensive efforts to cut down on the use of plastic in their home, and reduce waste.
Second place went to Emma Jane Graham and Harriet, and Commended were Chloe Munro, Hannah Hales, Rona Lunt, Rufus Edwards and Kirisha Aarvold.

The winner of the Larger Gardens category in this year’s Glorious Gardens competition was 25 Larkspur Terrace (pictured). Other category winners were Wildlife Friendly (28 Salisbury Gardens), Edible Garden (58 Buston Terrace) and Smaller Garden (44 Lansdowne Gardens).
