Teddy Bear Results

Teddy Bear Results

As usual, the 2025 Teddy Bear Trail was a great event, with 32 Teddies in various “travelling” guises distributed over many Jesmond Streets. Full details of the locations of all the bears is now on display in Jesmond Library.
The two favourite entries were Hiking Hamish and Hilary, and Barnacle Bear.
We are indebted to Symonds Taylor for printing all the entry forms, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s for donating prizes, and Tesco for providing yummy Teddy treats for each child returning a form. And of course the organisers, the Friends of Jesmond Library.
Revolution on Tyneside

Revolution on Tyneside

Keith Jewitt can be relied on to give a fascinating and well-researched talk, and last night’s offering “Revolution on Tyneside” was no exception! Jesmond Library was packed as Keith described the visits of Garibaldi and others to Tyneside.

Jesmond Gardens

Jesmond Gardens

The joint winners of our 2025 Jesmond Gardens Competition were 2 Lily Avenue and 4 Lansdowne Gardens. Third place was 39 Osborne Road, while there were Special Mentions for 5 Hartside Gardens and Woodland Mews. The judges found it very difficult to come to their final conclusions and were keen to commend all the gardens which were entered for the competition!
