The organisers of the Glorious Gardens Competition tell us that they would like to see some more entries to this year’s competition! Don’t be bashful, if you are proud of your front garden! To submit an entry, or if you have any enquiries, email gardensinjesmond@gmail.com.
This year’s categories are Pocket Gardens, Larger Garden, Best Container, and Best Wildlife Friendly Garden. Register your entry by Thursday 18 May.
The Church of the Holy Name tell us that their Jazz Night, to be held on 27 May, is now sold out.
The Friends of Jesmond Dene tell us that all the places on the Dawn Chorus Nature Walk on 13 May are now reserved. However there are still places available on their Heaton Park Walk on 3 June.
All available places on the guided walks “Tyneside Flats to Tankerville” are now fully booked. Many apologies if you are disappointed!
A tempting proposition for every weekday morning in Weeks Three and Four of this year’s Festival is free coffee and cake in St George’s Church. Please note that the time during which coffee and cake will be served will now be from 10:30 to 11:30 am only, and on Fridays refreshments will be available from Friday cafe in the church hall.
