Booking for the guided walks is now open! Last year, several of the walks became full up well in advance – so if you are keen to ensure that you get a place, contact the relevant email address as shown on this website. There is Brandling Park, St Andrew’s Cemetery, the Town Moor and several walks in the Dene! Take your pick, but don;t leave it too long!

Teddy Bear Trail 2025

The theme of this year’s Teddy Bear Trail will be “Ted goes travelling”.

The route will start from Jesmond Library and then go south along St George;s Terrace, via Lily Crescent, Holly Avenue West, Osborne Road (between Holly Avenue West and Haldane Bridge), Eslington Terrace (part), Kingsland, Clayton Road to Otterburn Terrace, Acorn Road, The Grove (back gardens), Reid Park Road and back along St George’s Terrace to the library.

If you would like to host a teddy or help in another way, please pop into Jesmond Library and sign the sheet before Feb 21st.

The last of this year’s big Festival musical highlights was Jesmond Choral Group’s performance of Gilbert and Sullivan’s “Patience”, with the help of the Priory Singers, conductor Jonathan Scott, pianist Julia Kennard and a host of guest soloists.
