Dark Sky Voices joined Les Hodgson, Bonnie Brinn and Len Young for a superb and varied evening of “Music for the Pool” at Jesmond United Reformed Church on 18 May. All the money raised will be shared between Jesmond Pool and St Oswald’s Hospice.

27 people aged from 7 months to 79 years joined Chris Bostock and the Storytellers Street Band on the green outside Holy Trinity Church on 18 May, for stories, music and dancing. The weather was glorious and a good time was had by all!

Did you miss the Holy Trinity Walking Group’s Druridge Bay walk on 4 May? If so, perhaps you would like to join them for a walk over the common at Edmundbyers on Saturday 1 June? It will be about 8 miles, of moderate difficulty. When the walk is finished, the group have a room booked at the Derwent Arms, so it should be a very enjoyable day. The presentation of the Plastic Free Jesmond and Sandyford Award, which was to have taken place in Jesmond Library on 16 May has been POSTPONED until later in the year, as the Award Winner is unavailable on that evening.
