A recent open meeting of Jesmond Community Forum decided to start planning for a 2024 Jesmond Community Festival. The festival will start on Saturday 4 May and end on Sunday 2 June, unless anything happens before then to change our minds!
Anyone beginning to plan an event may like to know that next year’s Early May Bank Holiday is to be on 6 May, Spring Bank Holiday is 27 May, and 27 – 31 May is likely to be Half Term Week at West Jesmond School. Easter is comparatively early next year (Easter Sunday will be 31 March) and West Jesmond’s summer term is likely to start on 15 April.
Any queries about next year’s festival should be emailed to info@jesmondfestival.org.uk .
Click on “History” in the main menu, above, to see the feedback report which Jesmond Community Forum has submitted to the Council, summarising this year’s festival.
The closing date for entries to this year’s Jesmond Photographic Competition isn’t until Saturday 23 September, so you still have time to take photos on the theme of “A Different Jesmond”. You can obtain entry forms by emailing info@jesmondfestival.org.uk.
The best entries will be included in a 2024 Jesmond Calendar.
