The Teddy Bear Trails stay in place until 6 June, and you can enter for the Photographic Competition until 25 September, but most 2021 Jesmond Community Festival events have now come to an end. The Newcastle University Jazz Orchestra were unable to give their annual Festival performance in Jesmond Library this year, so instead they have recorded this version of Chick Corea’s “Spain” for us. Their technical achievement during lockdown is astounding, quite apart from their musical talents!

Log on to the web site of the Friends of St. George’s and you will find 20 images of places in Jesmond.
See if you can identify them and then check the answers which will be posted on FOSG web site at the end of the Jesmond Festival.
There is no prize. It is just your personal challenge and your personal result.

This year’s Teddy Bear Trail includes two options. This is the Red Trail, which passes Reid Park Road, Holly Avenue and Highbury, starting and finishing at Jesmond Library, where more information is displayed.

For the first time this year’s Blue Teddy Bear Trail reaches High West Jesmond! All the teddies may not be in place until 22 May. Full information is available in the window of Jesmond Library where the trail starts.
