The Newcastle University Jazz Orchestra were unable to give their annual Festival performance in Jesmond Library this year, so instead they have recorded this version of Chick Corea’s “Spain” for us. Their technical achievement during lockdown is astounding, quite apart from their musical talents!

This year’s Teddy Bear Trail includes two options. This is the Red Trail, which passes Reid Park Road, Holly Avenue and Highbury, starting and finishing at Jesmond Library, where more information is displayed.
For the first time this year’s Blue Teddy Bear Trail reaches High West Jesmond! All the teddies may not be in place until 22 May. Full information is available in the window of Jesmond Library where the trail starts.
Plastic Free Jesmond and Sandyford announced the latest winners of their award scheme at a Jesmond Festival event on 20 May – they were Cake Stories (North Jesmond) and Something Good (South Jesmond). Congratulations!
