The routes for this year’s two Teddy Bear Trails are now on display in a window of Jesmond Library, but all the teddies will not be in place until Saturday 22 May, so you will have to be patient for a few more days yet!
You have a few extra days to enter the Glorious Gardens Competition, or nominate another garden that you admire. The closing date for entries has been put back to Monday 24 May. Contact greeningjesmond@hotmail.com for more information.
Everyone is welcome to this entertaining quiz night, promoted by Newcastle Cricket Club. Teams are up to 6 persons, and entry is £1 per person, with cash prizes up for grabs. Keep Jesmond Clean is a community action group of local people who are keen to assist in keeping the area clean and tidy. The group aims to reduce litter, promote recycling, and work in partnership with local businesses, universities, agents and schools, and is supported by both the North Jesmond and South Jesmond Ward Committees. As we emerge from the lockdown KJC is starting up again, and organising a new series of litter-picks. Meet new people and make a difference! All equipment and insurance cover provided. As part of Jesmond Festival KJC are organising a reunion and litter-pick on Saturday 22 May at 11 am, and a Jesmond Vale litter-pick is being planned for Sunday 27 June.
