Plant Stall Confirmed!
Jesmond Community Orchard have confirmed that their popular annual Plant Stall will be in position outside The Boiler House in Acorn Road between 10:30 am and 2:30 pm on Saturday 8 May.

The Headteacher of West Jesmond Primary School, Mr Matthew Ward, features in the latest addition to the Festival programme, with three online storytelling sessions on the first three Saturdays in May.
Local Election Hustings
JesmondLocal hosts a Question-Time style online event with local election candidates for North and South Jesmond, covering a wide range of topics of local interest and including an opportunity for you to submit your own questions to the candidates. Extra Reid Park Road Walk added
All five of John North’s Reid Park Road walks are now fully booked, so he has arranged for a fellow City Guide, Christine Dinsdale, to lead another walk on the same route, on the afternoon of 28 May. For information about any of the Reid Park Road walks email norths_2000@yahoo.co.uk .

Craig from Jesmond Pool and Gym announces details of “Craig’s Fitness Challenge”.
Every day during this year’s Jesmond Community Festival you will find on Jesmond Pool’s Facebook page a new routine posted by Craig. Can you complete them all?
Says Craig: “For Jesmond festival this year I’ll be setting a challenge for all of May. All it consists of is “One minute a day, every day in May”, and will be posted on the pool’s Facebook page, getting harder every week.”
“If you would like to join in and win a free month’s membership then all you have to do is film yourself doing Craig’s challenge that day, then send it to the Pool on our message page. You will be added in to our draw, the more challenges you do, the more times you will be added in to our draw.

Jesmond Old Cemetery
The Friends of Jesmond Old Cemetery have confirmed the arrangements for their popular Heritage Tours, which will this year take place on 15 and 16 May. On each day there will be five mini tours, each with its own guide, making a total of only 50 attendees over the two days. So reserve your place, by emailing friendsofjesmondoldcemetery@gmail.com as soon as possible. The two hour tours will start at mid day on each day.
