Congratulations to the winners of the Oxfam Book Shop/Jesmond Library Children’s Book Review competition! They are Michael Pearson for his review of “Private Peaceful” by Michael Morpurgo, Benji Lawrence, who chose “Flember – The Secret Book” by Jamie Smart, Nikita Alajar, who liked “The Enchanted Wood” by Enid Blyton, and Halle Olive Critchley, who enjoyed “Slime” by David Walliams. All the winners will receive book tokens.
The guided walk planned as part of the festival has been postponed until after the lockdown, possible until the 2021 festival, but if you can’t wait to explore Reid Park Road and The Grove, possibly during your “exercise hour”, email info@jesmondfestival.org.uk for a copy of John North’s walking notes!
