Booking is now open for a Kids Disco Party with DJ Scott, brought to you by Jesmond Pool and Gym, especially for the 2022 Jesmond Community Festival. Sunday 8 May, 2-4pm. Free, but you must book in advance at https://gymcatch.com/app/provider/4680 and children aged under 8 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Supporters of Jesmond Community Orchard are busy preparing for their Plant Stall, which will be outside Boilerhouse in Acorn Road on Saturday 7 May at 10:30am. Don’t be too late, as this is always a very popular Festival event. There will be a huge choice of interesting and unusual varieties: herbs, shrubs, annuals, perennials, fruit and vegetable plants, and indoor plants!
All the High West Jesmond Guided Walks planned as part of this year’s Jesmond Community Festival are now fully booked. Further information has been announced concerning this year’s Teddy Bear Trail, which will have a “Reet Royal” theme. Entry Forms will be available on May 7 at the St George’s Spring Fete and from May 10 in Jesmond Library. There will be a modest charge of £1 per entry. The trail itself will not all be in place until Saturday 21 May.
The Jesmond Festival Guided Walks in High West Jesmond are now all full up! Please do not turn up for these walks if you have not reserved a place. It is possible that further such walks may be organised in future – if you are interested, please contact juliemjacques@btinternet.com .
All places on the Charles Mitchell walk available on May 9, May 13 and May 19 have now been booked. At the time of writing, there are still places available on May 25 at 5:00pm, but if you are interested, contact norths_2000@yahoo.co.uk as soon as possible, or you risk being too late!
